Bitcoin fell below $84,000 Tuesday night after losing about $1,767, or 2.1%, in roughly 20 minutes on Coinbase.
The exchange's BTC-USD candles recorded a low of $83,551 in the minute beginning at 10:06 p.m. ET on Oct. 6, compared with an opening trade of $85,317.95 at 9:46 p.m.
CoinGecko's composite price stood at about $84,054 at 11:10 p.m. ET, down 1.7% over 24 hours but still up 0.8% over the week.
