Ripple wants $XRP to fund payments
At $XRP Seoul 2026 on 3rd October, Ripple President Monica Long discussed moving customer transaction volume directly onto XRPL. She went on to add that the company wants to expand a payment pilot that runs through the ledger’s DEX. They’d also link the payments business with the lending plumbing being built on XRPL.
The lending part of it all is very important here.
