Ryan Selkis, founder and CEO of Messari, a cryptocurrency market intelligence firm, has called out “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli for supposedly acting with federal agencies to hurt Donald Trump’s campaign. Shkreli, allegedly the creator of DJT, disregarded this notion, calling out Selkis for “watching too many movies.”
Messari’s Ryan Selkis Accuses Martin Shkreli of Organizing a “Sting” Against Trump’s Campaign
The situation regarding the alleged Donald Trump-linked token DJT has intensified with the reveal of the involvement of “Pharma Bro” Martin Shrekli in its issuance. Ryan Selkis, founder and CEO of Messari, a cryptocurrency market insights firm, has accused Shkreli of working with federal agencies to damage the campaign efforts of former president Donald Trump.
Selkis and Shkreli scuffled on social media, with the former accusing the latter of setting up a “sting” operation with federal agencies to damage the Trump campaign regarding the alleged involvement of Barron Trump, Trump’s youngest son, in the issuance of DJT.
Shkreli quickly disregarded this notion, pointing out Selkis’ paranoia and declaring that he had watched too many movies and he needed medicine. He stated:
Get a grip, everyone is laughing about you losing it. No one is trying to kill you, Ryan. You met POTUS like 20m other people have.
Selkis pressed on the theory that “Pharma Bro” was working to harm Trump’s campaign with his actions. “You’re pretending you’re friends with Barron Trump to hurt the campaign with an op,” he stressed.
Selkis justified this attack by remarking that he acted to stand for Trump’s campaign efforts, separating it from bad actors like Shkreli, who he called “sketchy.”
While Shkreli claims that he prepared DJT with the involvement of Barron Trump, there have been no public statements confirming these allegations from the Trump family. Opposing these allegations, undisclosed close sources to the Trump family have reportedly denied any relation to DJT.
However, DJT prices have not been affected by these discussions. DJT hovers over the $0.015 holding a market capitalization of over $150 million at the time of writing.
